We take the early weeks of your puppy's life seriously. Before your puppy leaves Barkvenger Dachshunds, we make sure they have received age-appropriate care and preparation for their transition to their furever family.
Each puppy receives a veterinary check before going home.
Your puppy will go home with their available vaccination and deworming records so you have documentation of their care.
Our puppies are dewormed at:
2 weeks
4 weeks
6 weeks
8 weeks
Our puppies are microchipped before going to their forever families.
Registration papers are provided with your puppy.
Our goal is to give every puppy a loving and well-prepared start before they begin their next chapter with you.

Each puppy goes home with a little piece of their beginning here with us.
Food
A supply of the food your puppy is accustomed to eating.
Toys
A few toys to help make the transition into their new home fun and comforting.
Mom's-Scent Blanket
A blanket carrying Mom's familiar scent to provide something comforting and familiar during the transition.
Paperwork & Records
Your puppy's registration papers and vaccination/deworming records.
A Whole Lot of Love
And, of course, all the love and care that went into raising your little Dachshund during those first weeks.
Our puppies typically go home at 8–9 weeks of age.
By this time, puppies are fully weaned and have had time to grow, develop, socialize, and become familiar with their early routines.
We want each puppy to have enough time with Mom and their littermates while also receiving the individual attention and experiences that help prepare them for their next chapter.
